The prices below are real ranges from the last two seasons, not “from” figures pulled out of the air. The final quote depends on access for heavy plant, the fall across the site, and what the builders left behind.

Every stage ends in a document or a sign-off. You don't pay for the next one until you have accepted the last.
We come to the plot, measure up, dig a soil pit and check the light. We talk about how you want to use the garden and how much time you want to give it. You leave with a price range.
You get two layout concepts to choose between, and once one is agreed - a planting plan, sections, visuals and a quote broken down line by line. Two rounds of revisions are included.
We arrive with our own plant, keep a photographic site diary and send a report every week. One project manager answers the phone for the whole of the works.
Four visits: after a month, before summer, before winter and again in spring. We adjust the irrigation, replace anything covered by the guarantee and show you what to do yourself.
Common questions
For a typical 400-600 m² plot in and around London a full build usually comes out at £95-240/m². The bottom of that range is turf, planting and basic irrigation. The top is with a terrace, lighting and large plant stock.
Three things drive most of the difference: access for machinery, how much soil has to be replaced, and the size of the trees going in. After a visit we can give a range accurate to around 15%.
Yes, within 40 miles. Most often: Esher, Cobham, Richmond, Sevenoaks, Chislehurst, Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield. We only travel further than 40 miles for projects over 800 m².
The two best windows are April to June and September to November. Autumn is arguably better for trees and shrubs - the ground is still warm and the plants have the whole winter to root in.
In July and August we mostly do hard landscaping and irrigation, and push the planting back to September.
Yes. Design costs £14-28/m² and you get a complete set of drawings that any contractor can build from. If you later decide to have us build it, we take half the design fee off the quote.
Five years on trees and shrubs, three years on perennials, two years on hard landscaping and irrigation. Replacements are at our cost, labour included.
One condition: for the first year the garden has to be under our maintenance, or looked after to the schedule we hand over. Most damage in a new garden comes from bad watering, not a bad plant.
In season (March to June) it is usually 8-12 weeks from first enquiry to the crew arriving: 2-3 weeks for the design, the rest is the build queue. Out of season it can be shorter. We normally book the survey visit within five working days.
